#111 - Hit and Run
Hit and Run is a film about a man named Charlie Bronson, who has been in witness protection for four years. While we was in hiding, he met and fell in love with a girl named Annie. Annie thinks that Charlie is the perfect boyfriend, and when she receives a job opportunity in Los Angeles, Charlie risks his cover with witness protection to take her there. He is ratted out by Annie's ex-boyfriend, Gil, and Charlie is quickly on the run from the friends he testified against four years ago. Annie discovers that Charlie is actually Yul Perkins, and he drove the get away car for 13 bank robberies. This makes Annie question her relationship with Charlie; however, she realizes that Charlie...Yul...whoever he is...has changed, and she truly does want to be with him. The people who are after Charlie are arrested, and Annie gets the job in Los Angeles.
This movie is pure perfection. There isn't a single moment in the movie where I do not enjoy it. Dax Shepard is such a great writer. I love that he chose to co-star with his real life girlfriend, Kristen Bell. The dynamic between the two of them on screen is incredibly believable because it's just them being them. They're adorable, and I love every minute of them together. They are, by far, my favorite Hollywood couple.
Overall, I give Hit and Run 5 out of 5 stars.
