My mission is to watch every movie I personally own. While watching each movie, I will review it and either confirm why I own this movie, or question my choices in life. I started this mission over three years ago...what can I say, I am not a very motivated individual.

Review: Ice Age
#123 - Ice Age
Ice Age takes place...during the Ice Age. All of the dinosaurs and animals are migrating toward warmer weather, but not Manfred the Wooly Mammoth. He wants to get away from the crowds, and begins heading in the opposite direction. On his travels, he runs into Sid the Sloth. Sid's family has abandoned him, and he needs a companion to keep him company. Begrudgingly, Manfred agrees. Sid and Manfred run into a tribe's land that has been attacked by saber-tooth tigers. A tribe woman leaves her baby with the odd couple and then disappears into the water. Manfred and Sid take over parent duty with the new baby. Having failed at his task of bringing the baby to his pack leader, Diego the Saber-Tooth Tiger is forced to join Manfred and Sid to convince them to give him the child. While travelling with them, Diego befriends Manfred and Sid. He tells them of his pack's plan to attack them at the bottom of the hill, so he saves both of their lives. In return, Manfred and Sid welcome Diego into their "herd" and together they get the child back to its father. An unlikely friendship has been created between a wooly mammoth, a sloth, and a saber-tooth tiger.
This movie is cute, but it's so boring. I'm pretty sure I tuned out for most of it to play on Facebook. I have no idea why so many sequels were made. It has a cute story, but that's it. Oh, that prehistoric squirrel constantly trying to eat his acorn is pretty amusing. And the fact that this is the first time I've noticed that the two rhinos attempting to eat the last dandelion are homosexuals. That was great too.
That's it. Not much to say about this film...and the sloth that moves entirely too fast to be an accurate sloth.
I give Ice Age 2.5 out of 5 stars.
