Review: Just Married

#131 - Just Married

Just Married is a story about a honeymoon gone wrong. Tom and Sarah are a young couple that decide to get married after nine short months of being together. Despite Sarah's rich family not approving of Tom, she goes through with the marriage anyway. While on their honeymoon in Europe, everything starts to fall apart. They head home early...separately. Once they are apart, they realize they can't live without each other. Love conquers all in this comedic tale of the trials and tribulations of marriage.

I'm pretty sure the only reason I own this movie is because I had a thing for Ashton Kutcher in the early 00s. While re-watching this, I am not really sure what else would explain me having the film. It's not good at all. It's an over-the-top story line of everything and anything that could go wrong in a relationship to try and split two people up who come from completely different backgrounds, but it doesn't work because "love conquers all." Blah blah. I laughed once in the film, but other than that, I was just waiting for it to end.

Overall, I give Just Married 2 out of 5 stars. What can I say? I like the message of the film, which is to not give up so easily on the one you love.
