My mission is to watch every movie I personally own. While watching each movie, I will review it and either confirm why I own this movie, or question my choices in life. I started this mission over three years ago...what can I say, I am not a very motivated individual.

Review: The Hangover: Part III
#98 - The Hangover: Part III
The Hangover: Part III continues the adventures of Phil, Stu, and Alan. This time, they get wrapped up in Chow's trouble with a dangerous man named Marshall. This is the same Marshall that Black Doug was working for in the first film. Chow has stolen 21 million dollars from Marshall, and now he wants it back. Doug is kidnapped and taken out of the picture yet again, and the Wolfpack must find the gold that was stolen and bring Chow to justice. Problem is that Chow steals the other 21 million from Marshall while the guys are trying to retrieve the original 21 million. Marshall is not happy. He attempts to kill Chow, but in the process, gets himself killed. Somehow, the guys walk away unscathed and everything ends happily, yet again.
I will reiterate what I said in my review of Hangover II: THIS MOVIE SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN MADE. It's even worse than the sequel. It has no purpose other than chasing Chow. It's boring, there is nothing funny about any of it, and revisiting old characters just comes up to be pointless. We're actually supposed to believe that it took an evil man like Marshall four years to find Phil, Stu, and Alan? His vendetta against Chow seemed pretty serious, so I'm not really sure why he would wait four years to get his 21 million dollars back.
Also, watching the three films back to back to back, I noticed more of Alan's character traits. He is clearly someone who has a mental imbalance, and in this film, we finally find out he has been on medication. This makes me look at Alan's character a bit differently now. Instead of being funny, I now feel kind of bad for him. They have created a character that has serious issues and poked fun at him for three whole movies - over and over again. I do, however, like that Phil, as the teacher, recognizes these symptoms in Alan and treats him more gently than Stu does. I don't know why it took me watching the three movies in a row to recognize that Alan could possibly be autistic.
No matter what, this movie is still awful. They should've stopped with the first one and quit while they were ahead.
I give The Hangover: Part III 1.5 out of 5 stars.
