Movie #59 - Dazed and Confused

Dazed and Confused is like the original Can't Hardly Wait. It's a tale of a bunch of high school kids wasting away their youth on the last day of school. The seniors haze the incoming freshmen, and then they all go out to the woods and party it up.

Not sure why I own this movie. It's actually really boring. The acting is pretty terrible as well. The kid that plays Mitch is probably one of the worst actors I've ever seen. There's a scene when he's outside the pool hall, and he's talking to another freshman girl. He touches his face like 18 times. It's annoying. If he was a decent actor, he would know what to do with his hands, other than put them in front of his face.

Now Ben Affleck, HE is good in this film. He plays the senior that flunked just to harass the freshmen again. He's a jerk, but he's super believable. I actually hate him in this film, but you're supposed to hate him...that means he's a good actor.

There are so many actors and actresses in this movie, that you would think it would be a great film...but it's not. It really doesn't have a point to it, other than just getting stoned and partying.

Overall, Dazed and Confused gets 2 out of 5 stars.
