#135 - Legally Blonde
Legally Blonde is the story of Elle Woods and her rise from blonde social queen to serious law student. When Elle is dumped by her boyfriend, Warner, because she's too "blonde," she takes action and gets accepted into Harvard Law School. It's a rough start, but soon she finds her stride and fits in quite well. She excels so much that she is offered an internship with her professor. While working on a case, she finds out why she was really given the internship: her professor wanted her for her looks. Elle fights back and wins her case, leaving her professor AND Warner in the dust. She meets a new man named Emmett, and begins her life as a successful partner in law.
I may have made this movie sound interesting in the summary, but it's god awful. I loved this movie back in 2001, when I was 17-years-old, but now it's just plain dumb. To be quite honest, the only part of the movie that I actually enjoy is when Elle outsmarts her professor and gets the witness to confess to killing her father. The rest is utter rubbish. The bend and snap scene makes me want to gauge my eyes out.
Overall, I do not want to waste my time talking about this film. I give Legally Blonde 2 out of 5 stars. And that is purely because Matthew Davis is gorgeous as all hell.
Look at him. From 2001 to 2014, I am still in love with that face.
